Wednesday Words

With all the news outlets covering the election results and people reacting online and wherever else their voices can be heard, today is one of those days where words of encouragement are needed for those of us who are disappointed and even afraid of the outcome. That’s why I’ve included more than one quote. We need all the positive thoughts we can get here in America and around the world.

“Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.”

– William Barclay

“For to be poised against fatality, to meet adverse conditions gracefully, is more than simple endurance; it is an act of aggression, a positive triumph.”

– Thomas Mann

“Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”

– Mattie Stepanek

“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

– Marcus Aurelius
